THE ELECTORAL SERVICE ABROAD
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Brazilian electoral service is not restricted to the borders of the country. All Brazilians who live abroad can exercise their citizenship. Services provided outside of the country include the enrollment, change of domicile, revision of the registered personal data and emission of a new voter's registration certificate.
The Brazilian Embassies or consular representations throughout the world are responsible for providing such services.
Brazilian citizens on vacation in Brazil can also visit the Foreign Electoral Office in Brasilia, Federal District, where they have access to all electoral services.
In 2006, electoral stations were installed in Ramallah, so that Brazilians who live in the conflict area can vote without crossing the border to Tel Aviv, Israel. This demonstrates the expansionary vision of the Brazilian Electoral Justice.
