COOPERATION FROM THE BRAZILIAN ELECTORAL JUSTICE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Working towards the improvement of democracy, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) has signed several international covenants and agreements for electoral cooperation. Because the Brazilian Electoral Justice owns the best electoral technology, the interest of other nations has become frequent, particularly regarding the electronic voting system.
The Brazilian electronic ballot box, developed with national technology, allows the elections to be carried out in a fast and reliable way. The security of the vote is one of the most important contributions of the ballot box, which now counts with a biometric identification system. This advanced technology draws the attention of other countries to the Brazilian Electoral Justice, where the most qualified and secure voting system in the world can be found.
Therefore, an agreement has been signed for technical cooperation with the Organization of American States (OAS), as well as a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations (UN). Covenants and agreements of such kind have also been established with Argentina, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay and Dominican Republic.
